Visa Requirements

I have started gathering data for our planned trip this summer. We have added Jordon to the list of destinations, so we can visit Petra and possibly Cyprus. First off I started searching Canada’s External Affairs for visa requirements for the various countries we plan to travel to, as well as transit countries (not visiting but will travel through).
Canadian Visa Requirements
- Eastern Europe
- Albania: Not required (Country flagged as AVOID ALL TRAVEL)
- Bosnia and Herzegovina: Not required (for stays less than 90 days)
- Croatia: Not required (for stays less than 90 days)
- Macedonia: Not required (for stays less than 90 days)
- Montenegro: Not required (for stays less than 90 days)
- Slovenia: Not required (for stays less than 90 days)
- Western Europe
- Austria: Not required (for stays less than 90 days)
- Cyprus: Not required
- Greece: Not required
- Italy: Not required (for stays less than 90 days)
- Middle East
- Turkey: Visa required
- Jordan: Visa required
Upon further investigation we have decided to focus our trip mainly on Turkey, Jordan, Cyprus (optional), and Austria. It became apparent that we would not have enough time to cover all the areas that we initially wanted to see in the 6 to 7 weeks we have for travel. Which includes a mandatory 2 weeks in Innsbruck, Austria hiking in August. We did not want to feel rushed through these countries because of a unreasonable time line and start skipping places.
