Lessons Learned

These are a list of lessons we have learned from other travelers (especially those on the road for years):

  • Pick one or two destinations, and allow yourself to settle in to them. Live like the locals.
  • Skip most museums, go to art galleries instead.
  • Recognize that shit happens, and regard it as another adventure, don’t bother to get upset.
  • Never sleep in dorm rooms in hostels.
  • Don’t drink the water in Romania, or anything that’s been washes in it. Use bottled water for everything.
  • Take pictures of interesting details and people of a place, the big picture is in small things.
  • Listen to other people’s stories.

Hi,

I just wanted to thank you guys for all your great travel advice. Especially your packing list has helped me a lot planning my trip(s). If I will have made some experience of my own I will add one to my page as well, but for now I am very thankful you guys posted yours. I will leave for Montréal tomorrow and I am quite excited as always. And one more thing: Awesome new design…I love it!

Take care,
Chris
