Wondering The Streets

We were woken up to Indian Sitar music at 9:00am blasting through all the loud speakers at the B&B we are staying at. Apparently this is the call to breakfast. Today we wandered through the Jewish quarter of Prague and were amazed at the outrageous prices they wanted people to pay to see the sites (350 Kc each to see the Synagogues.) We also walked up to castle hill and took a look around.

Thankfully we have already seen the sites on previous trips because you now have to pay to enter everything (The Golden Lane, which is essentially shops, is also where Kafka’s house is located, you now have to pay to enter.) We did visit a new museum of Czech jewelry, and plan to go to a new art gallery tomorrow. Many of the sites close to the river were flooded last year, and several new sites have established themselves where none previously existed. Many of the cobblestone streets still need to be repaired. We still have not made any plans for our next stop – we’ll get around to it tomorrow. Until then – we still miss our dogs & our friends.
