Day 10, Seklikent Gorge and Xanthos

Made arrangements for Mesut to take Geo, Allison, Azu, and I to Seklikent Gorge. The water pouring out of the gorge looked like glacial spring water. At the entrance to the gorge, there’s a great outpouring of water off to the right, a river which is covered with flat tea houses with cushions and low tables. You can sit on the tea platform and reach down and touch the water. We walked through the stream running through the gorge for about 3 km. We turned around when the water became too deep to walk through. We stopped at one of the tea houses on the way back and sat over the stream and had lunch. We lazed about with our feet in the water feeding ducks and watching the goats behind us.

In the afternoon we went to Xanthos and walked through an olive grove, taking pictures of the ruins and Lycian tombs amongst the trees. Great day!
